Multi-factor authentication (sometimes known as MFA or dual-factor authentication) is a security process that requires a user to provide two forms of identification to verify their identity.
There are a few situations where you may be asked to verify your identity through the Multi-factor Authentication system. This is done both as a security measure and to ensure we have the most up-to-date contact information in case we have to reach out.
One situation where you will need to verify through the Multi-factor Authentication system is when you attempt to add a new debit card to the account. Another would be when you add or update your personal information on file.
In any situation where you need to complete MFA, use the following steps to complete Multi-factor Authentication.
Step 1: You will receive a prompt to validate using a verification code sent to your phone – in the case of changing your phone number, the verification code will be sent to your email on file.
Step 2: Click the blue prompt that says “Send Verification Code”.
Step 3: Once you receive the verification code to the number or email address you provided, enter that code on the following screen.
Step 4: By entering the code, you are verifying that the information on file is correct.
