How do I update my bank account information in DailyPay?
Bank account information in DailyPay can be used for direct deposit and/or early transfers, and should only be updated within the DailyPay app or website. Failure to update your deposit information within the DialyPay app can result in disruption of your funds delivery.
Note
Only update your direct deposit information within DailyPay. Do not update your direct deposit information in your HR platform if you are enrolled in and use DailyPay.
The bank account you select as your 'Primary Account' in DailyPay is the account that will receive your pay remaining after any early transfers taken, also referred to by DailyPay as Remainder Pay.
To set up an optional destination for your DailyPay transfers, you will need to link an additional bank account, but NOT designate it as your ‘Primary Account.’
If you only have one bank account linked within DailyPay and you are attempting to remove that bank account, you must add a new bank account first. To do this:
- Log into your account via the DailyPay app or a web browser.
- Select the three bars at the top left corner of the Home screen.
- Select Settings > Bank Accounts > Add New Bank Account.
- If this is your checking account, select Checking. If this is your savings account, select Savings.
- Add your new banking information. This includes the account and routing numbers, which can be found in your banking app or by contacting your bank.
- If you would like to receive your remaining pay each pay period in this account, select the Primary Account checkbox.
- Select Submit. You’ll be asked to verify your identity via a code you receive in a text.
- Click the three dots to the right of the old account on the Bank Accounts screen. Select Remove Bank Account. You’ll be asked to verify your identity via code sent to text again.
To help you understand where your paycheck will go on payday, view the Direct Deposit section in the Settings menu.
Here, you can also update your direct deposit location.
You can also use our Split Direct Deposit feature. This allows you to send a portion of your Remainder Pay to a separate bank account on payday. We aim to help you take advantage of this feature and achieve your savings goals. To learn more about our Split Direct Deposit feature, please click the link or search for Can a portion of my Earnings be set aside for savings? Article. The functionality of DailyPay on-demand pay, and remainder pay on payday, is not affected by this Split Direct Deposit feature.
